Taken from
Better Homes and Gardens New Cookbook (mine is an older version), here's a recipe for Pumpkiny goodness:

- 2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 4 beaten eggs (or flax seed to make vegan)
- 1 15-oz can pumpkin
- 1 cup cooking oil
|
- Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl. Stir in wet ingredients until combined. Spread in an ungreased pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes (until a toothpick comes out clean). Cool for 2 hours.
- Top with frosting. I used the creamy white frosting from this same cookbook (with orange coloring, of course.)

I love that cookbook. I made these about a month ago, but with fresh peaches instead of pumpkin and they were killer. And then last week I made them with apples and pecans and again they were amazing.
